School Meals
Our school chef Gillian and her dedicated team prepare fresh, hot and cold school meals for our children every day here at Lemington Riverside. We are delighted to share our brand new menu for the 2024/2025 academic year below, which offers more choices than ever!
We have a wide range of daily options and can cater to all dietary requirements. We have worked with our children to provide a tasty and nutritious menu with lots of choice. Every day there are always two hot main meal choices (including one vegetarian option). There is also always a baked potato option with a variety of hot and cold toppings, a range of sandwiches, wraps and rolls and a fresh 'help yourself' salad bar.
Throughout the school year we also have a range of themed meal days to mark special occasions such as Christmas and Bonfire Night.
School meals are priced at £2.10 per day for Nursery children and £2.20 day for children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are all entitled to Universal Free School Meals.
All children eat lunch in our recently refurbished Riverside Restaurant. Our Riverside Restaurant has been developed with state of the art sound proofing materials, ensuring a more relaxed atmosphere for children who may be sensitive to busy environments and loud noises.
We ask all parents/carers to check if your child is entitled to free school meals by making an application here. You only have to do this once and if you are not initially entitled, the City Council continually monitor this whilst your child is at school and if you become eligible you will be notified.
