Lemington Riverside Primary School

A welcome from our Headteacher

Welcome to a primary school that is bravely different and proudly unique…

We are Lemington Riverside Primary School, a truly inclusive school at the heart of our community overlooking the mighty River Tyne. We educate children from the age of 3 up to 11 and are a one-form-entry school (we have one class in each year group).

Our school is a magnificent Edwardian building, with spacious classrooms, break out spaces, libraries, ICT facilities and an exciting outdoor environment. We also have a community hub on site, providing additional activities, services and support to our children, families and the wider community.

We believe that children should leave primary school not only with strong academic outcomes, but also with memories that last them for a life-time. We are proud of our unique ‘Lemington Riverside Experience’ personal development offer, that gives our children the opportunity to experience a wide range of cultural and sporting activities during their time at our school.

Lemington Riverside has a strong and experienced team of teachers and teaching assistants who regularly engage with training and academic research to ensure that our curriculum and teaching methods are at the cutting edge.

We have a strong pastoral team, in-house counsellor, occupational therapist and work with a wide range of highly-skilled external professionals to ensure the very best outcomes for all of our children.

At Lemington Riverside we like to say we are “bravely different and proudly unique”, because we're not afraid to think out of the box and do things that work for our children and our community.

We’re always delighted to speak to and welcome prospective families to our school – if you’d like to arrange a visit, please do get in touch.

Best wishes,

Craig Heeley
